Leadership Opportunities
Augustine School students gain valuable leadership skills through their participation in various leadership positions within the House System. These opportunities to lead and serve others is a training ground for future life and service in the world. Students learn to work collaboratively, hone their executive functioning skills, and practice the spirit of servant leadership. It is our hope that every student graduates Augustine School ready to be leaders within their communities, effective and innovative laborers in their careers, and of course eager ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

The Inter-House Council is led by one Head Boy and Head Girl selected from the senior class each year. These students meet weekly with the Dean of the Upper School. They also lead weekly Inter-House Council meetings along with the four House Prefects and House Ambassadors to ensure the planning, organization, and execution of Upper School events throughout the year.

The Executive House Council is the leading student body over each of the four Upper School Houses at Augustine School. Each House consists of the following positions: Prefect, Vice-Prefect, Ambassador, Captain, and Scholar. These students work together throughout the school year to accomplish the necessary tasks related to planning and executing student life events as well as ensuring clear communication throughout the House System. Student Ambassador are trained to represent the school during special school events. They act as hosts to school guests and are able to extend hospitality, kindness, and knowledge of the school to all visitors.

Augustine School students are also encouraged to pursue leadership opportunities within the Jackson community and beyond. Students have participated in such opportunities as Leadership University, the Mayor’s Youth Council, and more.
