Color of Music 2025 Winners
Capriccio Award winning painting by Francesca Grace Murdock, 4th Grade.
Congratulations to our 2025 Color of Music Winners! Augustine School had 17 winners selected, including the Capriccio Award given to Francesca Grace Murdock (4th Grade) for the top 3rd-5th grade painting!
Each year, K-8th Grade students across West TN are invited to participate in the Jackson Symphony League’s Color of Music competition. Students are given classical music selections to listen to while creating a work of art that illustrates their interpretation of the music. This year students listened to excerpts from “Appalachian Spring” by Aaron Copland and “Northern Lights” by Dawson Hull. We are so proud of our students and grateful for our exceptional art teachers, Janelle Roberts and Rachel Tilly, for encouraging our students’ participation.
