Augustine School is committed to offering the finest education available. For two-thousand years, the finest thinkers, scholars, and statesmen have often been faithful Christians. Indeed, there appears to be an inextricable link between the Christian faith and the flowering of the mind. As one person has said, “wherever the cross is planted, the academy follows.” Christians serve the God of Holy Scripture who both creates and rules and redeems. God has created a good and orderly world over which he rules. God desires that his created order be explored, and that the pinnacle of creation—man—use the gifts given to him to think, learn, and explore. Rather than produce a narrow-minded anti-intellectualism, the Christian faith has always—at its best—encouraged and sustained intellectual deliberation, discovery, and discourse.
